Monton Unitarian Church 150th Anniversary!

Heritage Open Day: Monton Unitarian Church's wonderful building, designed by Thomas Worthington and featuring stunning stained glass windows, and with a congregation with a history of radical dissent, celebrates its 150th Anniversary in September this year. Monton Unitarian Church was designed by Thomas Worthington, opened in 1875, and is the fourth religious building for dissenters on this site. A beautiful building, the church is particularly noteworthy for its late 19th century stained glass windows which honour not just Jesus and other biblical figures, but also great men of both the classical and modern world. Artists, writers, scientists and philosophers are represented.
