Heritage Open Day: Christ Church is a beautiful Grade II listed building, with stunning views across the Bay and beautiful stained glass windows. Having been a Chapel for the Lancaster Workhouse, it remains a place for worship loved by many in and beyond the parish. Join us for guided tours of this 168 year-old landmark, telling the story of rich and poor alike as the east side of Lancaster grew during the 19th Century. Pevsner recommends seeing the stained glass by local manufacturers Shrigley and Hunt.
