Heritage Open Day: Step into a Grade 1 church whose chequered architectural history hides it's earliest Saxon origins. With significant architectural and literary associations, an unusual chancel screen and a hidden geological feature, this is a venue not to be missed. This hidden gem of a church lies off a main road on the Hampshire-Berkshire border, and it's community and congregations love to open up and celebrate it's hidden features for Heritage Open Days. The earliest item on show is a Sarsen Stone from the last ice age, but it's visible Christian history and architectural story start with a medieval piscena and a Tudor Chancel.
