A care home in Woking is inviting the public to take a tour inside its purpose-built facilities.
Care UK’s Greenview Hall, on Streets Heath in West End, will be opening its doors to the community on Friday 12th September from 2pm-4pm.
As part of the event, visitors will have the opportunity to get creative and take part in a host of arts and crafts activities, offering a glimpse into the home’s busy programme. Sandwiches, cakes and refreshments, specially prepared by the home’s head chef, Ajaya Gautam, will be available to try too.
Prospective guests are invited to book an appointment to meet the team and take a tour around the care home, which has its very own cinema, hair salon and bar.
The layout of the building, which has recently undergone a refurbishment, is configured into a series of individual suites intended to allow the creation of close-knit communities within the home. Each of these areas has a number of en-suite bedrooms, as well as its own dining room and lounge area, which makes it easier for residents to form new friendships and get to know each other.
Meera Govindapillai, Home Manager at Greenview Hall, said: “Choosing a care home can feel like a daunting process. We understand how important it is for families to gain a real feel for a care home, which is why we’re excited to be opening our doors to the community.
“We have a really exciting afternoon of activities planned, plus some delicious food to try. We expect it will be a popular event, and we’d like to encourage people to come and take a look around the home’s facilities, meet the team and see for themselves just how special life at Greenview Hall can be.
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Greenview Hall provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-
