A fun event for all the family! Come and walk around the apple orchards, taste the many different apple varieties and make your own apple juice.
There are three Wildlife Trust orchards to explore at Woolley Firs with a wide variety of apple trees, including heritage; aromatic wonders; favourites such as Cox's Orange Pippin; and newer red, sweet and juicy options.
In the adjacent Education Centre you will be able to taste different apple varieties, make some apple juice (bring empty bottles to take it away) or buy apples to take home for cooking, eating, juicing or storing.
Our experts will be on hand to provide advice on the apples - and guidance on rootstocks and varieties, if you are thinking of buying an apple tree for your garden.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments available. Car park opens at 10.00
Entry is free but donations are welcome.
Booking is essential.
