The Sussex Guild is delighted to return for its eighth show at the De La Warr Pavilion this Autumn. You’ll find more than fifty makers in the ground-floor auditorium showing well designed and beautiful work, all hand made in small workshops and ateliers across East and West Sussex and the adjacent counties.
One of the most iconic Modernist buildings in Britain, the Grade I listed Pavilion overlooks the seafront in Bexhill. Built in 1935 as a pioneering centre for cultural excellence, since its refurbishment in 2005 it has gained an international reputation for innovative gallery and engagement programmes.
The bright and stylish Café Bar and Kitchen use fresh, seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible, for delicious lunches, sandwiches and cakes. There’s a great range of wines, boutique beers, soft drinks, speciality teas and coffees that may be enjoyed (weather permitting), on the balconies overlooking the sea, whilst pondering what to purchase, or which maker to commission for a more personal piece.
