Macmillan Coffee Morning

Tilney All Saints Village Hall is holding a coffee morning on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, from 10:30 in the village hall to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cancer is one of the top 5 killer diseases in the UK. It is estimated that approximately 1 in 2 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. It is projected that there are almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK with more than 400,000 people being diagnosed with cancer each year which means on average someone is diagnosed with cancer at least every 90 seconds. Each year, around 167,000 people die from cancer, an average of 460 people every day.

Macmillan Cancer Support has spent more than 100 years helping people living with cancer. From the moment someone is diagnosed with cancer, they’re there with all the information, support and guidance they need, to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can. Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by donations, so fundraising is vital to support people living with cancer.

Since April 2018, Tilney All Saints Village Hall has been holding coffee mornings on a regular basis to raise funds to support the hall. However, since October 2019, and every year since, they have joined with Macmillan Cancer Support by dedicating a coffee morning to them, i.e. all the funds collected from that coffee morning goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.

How can you help? Easy, come along to Tilney All Saints Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Village Hall on Wednesday, 24th September 2025 from 10:30. Enjoy a cuppa with delicious homemade cakes & savouries. Share your experience with family, friends and neighbours, but most importantly, help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support so that they can continue to do their excellent work.
