The Penguin Lessons

Starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce in a warm, witty comedy drama set in 1976 Argentina amid the turmoil of the political coup. Based on Tom Michell's 2015 much-loved memoir and directed by Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty, Military Wives) it follows disillusioned English teacher Tom whose life is transformed when he rescues a penguin from an oil slick unlocking its undying loyalty. It's the beginning of a funny and heart-warming story of a strange and beautiful friendship, personal and political reawakening, as the remarkable penguin affects the lives of all he meets, including Tom's previously unteachable students.
