Winner of the 14th Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2022, the New York-based Isidore String Quartet is determined to use the ‘gloriously vital tradition of the string quartet’ to demonstrate ‘the power of the collective to uplift the individual’. Its core mission is harnessed here to Haydn’s ‘Sunrise’ Quartet and Brahms’s radiantly optimistic Third String Quartet.
