Throughout September , we’ve been celebrating Friendship month at Oddfellows ,our annual campaign to shine a light on all the wonderful benefits of Friendship. This year we have encouraging people to say ‘yes ‘ to trying new things and making friends locally, and have hosted several taster events where people have got together and had a wonderful time .We’d love the opportunity to say thankyou to all the people that came along and joined in the fun , and let people know what we have got planned for the near future .
Letter to the Editor
Thank you for saying ‘yes’
Making new friends and trying something different can feel harder as we get older. That’s why I’d like to say a warm thank you to everyone who came along to our group events during Friendship Month this September.
Local social groups like South East Lancashire Oddfellows are here to offer a friendly space where you can meet others, share some company, and have activities to look forward to.
If you weren’t able to join us this time, please don’t worry – there are many more opportunities ahead. In the coming weeks we’ve got a Dine arounds in local restaurants, Ten pin Bowling and flower arranging demonstrations. We have a trip to the Met Theatre in Bury to see ‘The Haunting of Blaine Manor ‘on the 29th of October, and a visit to Bolton Museum on the 22nd October as well as other regular get-togethers in Bury, Blackburn and Wigan.
If you’d like to come along, you’ll be made very welcome. You can get in touch with me on 07564641909 or by email at Natalie.kearns@oddfellows.co.uk and I’ll be happy to send you a diary of local events. You can also see what’s coming up at www.oddfellows.co.uk/events
