Blackpool Zoo’s Wizarding Wildlife School
Blackpool Zoo’s Wizarding Wildlife School is a brand-new immersive experience where magic and nature come together in the most extraordinary way.
Running from Saturday 18th October to Friday 31st October 2025 the Wizarding Wildlife School invites witches and wizards of all ages to step into a realm of magical creatures, ancient guardians and nature-based sorcery.
Families will meet the Wandering Wizards for spellbinding animal encounters and embark on the Guardianis Trail to uncover their destined magical animal match, before being transformed at the Magic Makeover Station.
The zoo’s miniature railway has been reimagined as a magical train travelling through the enchanted lands of Wildermere and the Dinosaur Safari has transformed into Dinorion, a Land where the ancient guardians of the earth still roam. From mighty T. rex to soaring pterosaurs, the giants of the past return to a land touched by magic.
The Keeper’s Hat Classification Ceremony will see the enchanted Keeper’s Hat reveal visitors’ magical classification and assign them to a wizarding house and The Owlery Tower of Talons and Serpent Studies will allow students to discover the secrets of magical birds and uncover the mysteries of scales, skins and snake lore!
For those wishing to take their magical education to the next level, a series of exclusive Wizarding VIP Masterclasses offer hands-on learning with a zoological twist. These spellbinding sessions include ‘Potions and Poisons’, where little learners can stir, mix and conjure magical brews uncovering the mysterious world of venomous and toxic creatures.
‘The Care of Magical Creatures’ lesson allows visitors to step into the world of a true Magizoologist and meet an array of creatures rarely seen up close while the Herbology class harnesses the magic of nature as seeds are planted to nurture and grow at home.

Visitors can purchase a Wizarding Wildlife School VIP ticket (£10.00 per person) in the ‘Extras’ section after selecting their regular zoo tickets on the website.
Members for the 2025/2026 season only need to purchase the Wizarding Wildlife School VIP ticket.
