Do you want to find a local choir to join near you?
Your friendly local Dorchester choir is run by singer/pianist Sadie Kerslake. The choir is for all ages and all the local Dorset branches of Rock Choir, like ours come together to do incredible performances like the 11,000 seat Wembley Arena that ITV1 asked to film for the Rock Choir documentary 'The Choir that Rocks' and also our numerous Guinness World Record attempts (the choir members have 3 world records!) and community events too like the local Dorset music and food festivals.
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Dorchester Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I joined Rock Choir after being made redundant and being out of work for a year, so was feeling fairly low. Immediately I was greeted like an old friend and made to feel welcome. Since then I have gone on to meet new friends, have a great time every week and culminating to doing a solo at a local festival. If you'd have said to me a year ago I'd have the confidence to not only sing in front of people, but do a solo, I'd have told you not to be so silly. Rock Choir has become a v important part of my life, for the better.' - Alex (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
