History of the English Canal System
Join us for a Pie & Pea Supper, along with an illustrated talk by Eric Jackson, who will describe the development of the early 18th and 19th century canal systems, through to the restoration era of the 20th century. Eric will discuss the prominent Yorkshire canals and also include a short discourse on steam as a propulsion for canal boats.
