Driffield care home residents welcome local community for Halloween fu

A care home in Driffield is opening its doors to the local community for some fang-tastic fun.

It’s all treats and no tricks at Care UK’s Driffield Manor, on Middle Street, as local children are invited to come door-to-door trick or treating on 31st October from 2pm–4.30pm.

In true Halloween spirit, attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best spooky attire as they knock on residents' room doors and fill their bags with sweet treats.

Donna Henderson, Home Manager at Driffield Manor, said: “Being an active part of our community and welcoming local people in is at the heart of what we do at Driffield Manor, y and Halloween is the perfect opportunity to do this.

“The residents have been getting into the Halloween spirit, and we cannot wait to see our home filled with trick-or-treaters to bring back memories.

“We encourage everyone to come along and get into the spooky spirit with us. It is set to be a spooktacular time, and we have plenty of sweets at the ready.”

Driffield Manor is a modern care home providing full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema and hair salon, bar, bowling green and terraced balconies. There is also plenty of space both in and outdoors for relaxation and recreation.
