Fresh from her highly acclaimed appearances at the Southend and Writtle Jazz Festivals, she is delighted to be appearing again on this stage which first welcomed her when she was just 12 years old.
Simone’s repertoire spans jazz, blues, gospel, and soul, delivering well-known tunes alongside innovative reworkings of classic favorites. Her ability to fill a room with warmth and humour has endeared her to audiences, making her a standout performer in the contemporary jazz scene.
Jeffery Wilson has touched the lives of countless musicians and artists in a career approaching fifty years of music making. His influence as a composer and educator, performer and facilitator is felt across many fields including the world of academia, media, the concert stage, theatre, Jazz, contemporary environments and publishing.
He is the organiser of the studio theatre lunchtime concerts and is delighted to be performing with Simone for the first time.
