A cup of kindness: Chingford care home to host monthly friendship café
A care home in Chingford is inviting the local community to connect over a cup of tea and a freshly baked treat.
Care UK’s Ivy Grove, on Hatch Lane, is opening its doors for a friendship café on the second Thursday of every month from 3pm–4pm.
The event aims to bring people together in a relaxed setting, providing an opportunity to build connections and share stories.
Complimentary refreshments will be served at each session, with the home’s talented chefs preparing a selection of sweet treats for guests to enjoy alongside their tea and coffee.
Jacob Mante, General Manager at Ivy Grove, said: “We know how important it is for residents and the local community to feel connected with others, and our monthly friendship café is all about offering a warm and welcoming space for people in Chingford to come together.
“Whether you’re looking to meet like-minded people or simply enjoy a slice of cake and a chat, everyone is welcome. We’re really looking forward to seeing both new and familiar faces at Ivy Grove each month.”
Ivy Grove provides full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies, with the layout of the building configured to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among residents. Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, it boasts its own café, activity room and hair and beauty salon.
