In this four week course we will experiment with techniques for art journaling.
Your art jounal will be a place for your creative play, and you are free to fill it with whatever you like - words, art, decoration, experiments, ideas and self expression. If you find yourself getting 'stuck' creatively, or you just want to try out new techniques, this class is for you!
We will explore:
Lettering ideas for quotes, poems, goals, lists, dreams...
Creating folding elements and sleeves
Collage and 'messy' pages as a base for your art practise
Page layouts, borders and decoration
Bring an A4 sketchbook with paper weight 170gsm or heavier. You need thicker paper so that ink will not easily bleed through the paper and glue will not make the pages buckle excessively.
All other drawing, painting and collage materials will be provided. You are also welcome to bring any papers, pens, paints etc. from home to use in your journal if you wish!
Free parking is available on site. This is an adult class, accompanied younger learners age 10+ welcome.
