The electro-folk musical Precipice is set to arrive at the New Diorama Theatre (NDT), marking the bold debut production from boundary-blurring new company Timelapse. Developed through a uniquely collaborative creative process, Timelapse is releasing the track, from Precipice, titled Flash in the Pan. This teaser captures the pulse of the show, giving audiences an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creativity behind this innovative new musical.
Centuries apart, the residents of a towering high-rise arrive at a crossroads, taking shelter along the riverbank in Greenwich – the place where time begins and the world ends. In the near present, a biomedical emergency drives a young couple to confront their own complicity in the face of impending catastrophe. Four hundred years from now, those who remain celebrate their survival, while long buried truths threaten to unravel their carefully constructed way of life.
The ensemble cast of five multi-talented actor-musicians includes; Max Alexander-Taylor as Biscuits, (joining directly from his run as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Watermill); Holly Freeman (My Lady Jane, Coram Boy) as Emily; Isabella Marshall (The Tempest RSC, Woyzeck The Old Vic) as Maggie; Melinda Orengo (Police Cops: The Musical, Julie: The Musical) as Piper; and Eric Stroud (101 Dalmatians, The Fantastic Four: First Steps) as Ash.
