The Bishop's Stortford Rock Choir is led by local musician Liam Priestnall. The local men and women who have joined the choir who live in Bishop's Stortford and further afield in Hertfordshire come from all walks of life and most had no singing experience or ever thought their singing journey would ever take them on TV or radio (not compulsory :-) ). Once you join the choir you will find you learn the songs by rote from a brilliant set of resources and you will be amazed how quickly you go from 'not sure' to 'performance ready'. The songs are uniquely arranged in a way that helped Rock Choir originally establish the simple high/middle and optional low voice approach to make songs easy to sing yet still challenge you in places.
Just like a gym session or aerobics class, your Rock Choir rehearsal provides an escape from everyday life. One evening a week, your time is completely your own, to do nothing but sing your heart out with our trailblazing formula of fun, friendship and feel-good music.
