The Gillies, Polly Morris, Wichita Grand, Michael Tuffery

We have a fabulous line up for our monthly Third Thursday Music Night at Other Space Arts, Windsor on 18th December. The Gillies are an Americana, Folk singer/songwriter duo from SE London. Their music tells of love, loss, bittersweet and harsh realities, the distinctive sound of their acoustic guitars create an intense lonesome dark musical style. If you could imagine the love child of Bill Bailey and Victoria Wood, that would be Polly Morris. Her observational comedy songs about such things as supermarket shopping or the perils of email, are songs that you can instantly identify with. Wichita Grand perform Close harmonies, well-crafted choruses and the occasional clarinet solo. For fans of Jimmy Webb, Mark Hollis, Sandy Denny etc.
