If you are wanting to join a choir you'll find a warm welcome with us in the Rock Choir.
The Barnsley Rock Choir is led by South Yorkshire based musician and teacher Kate Threlfall. We have a great year lined up and we would like to invite you to join our choir and take part in the local Barnsley and wider South Yorkshire county community. We are part of the pioneering Rock Choir singing groups. We often team up with the other local South Yorkshire choirs to sing in concert in groups of 200, 800 and even 11,000 at Wembley Arena for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'. These inspirational moments are unique to the Rock Choir experience. It's unbelievable and you can still join the choir.
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper in front of an audience of thousands, there's a place for you in the Barnsley Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see why the Barnsley choir members recommend their friends!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I can only echo what people have said about Rock Choir. It's had such an impact on mine and other's lives. A fantastic outlet for singing feel-good songs, the ones we all enjoy to listen to - and the opportunity to be part of a group producing an amazing sound. I've made so many friends and had many fantastic experiences during my last 5 years with Rock Choir and look forward to many more!' - Emma (Rock Choir member)
