If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes!
The Barnsley Rock Choir is led by local vocal tutor Kate Threlfall. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Kate. Rock Choir members have performed and sung across the country at venues including Wembley Arena, Eurodisney and many more iconic landmarks. The choir also has a charitable function in raising money and awareness for Missing People and Refuge.
You've probably heard us singing in and around South Yorkshire, or seen one of our many TV appearances, and never thought you'd have to courage to get up on stage and sing! But the unique teaching methods at the Barnsley Rock Choir, along with no need to audition or read music, mean that we are accessible to all. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
