Are you looking to learn to sing?
The Rochester Rock Choir is led by local vocal tutor Paul Gostling. We have a great year lined up and we would like to invite you to join our choir and take part in the local Rochester and wider Kent area. We are part of the pioneering Rock Choir singing groups. We often team up with the other local Kent choirs to appear in groups of 200, 800 and even 11,000 at Wembley Arena for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'. These inspirational moments are unique to the Rock Choir experience. It's unbelievable and you can still join the choir.
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at the O2 arena (which we've done!), there's a place for you in the Rochester Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir is great as it has given me the opportunity to sing again without the constraints of a formal choir. The pieces are broken down so you are able to learn them and you can also download songs to practise at home. Its a great way to release the stresess of life. Singing can help you to releases' happy hormones' which make you feel happy and you leave in a better state of mind. It has helped me through a difficult time. It is fun. The people are welcoming and friendly.' - Angela (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
