Ever wondered if there is a 'local ladies choir near me or nearby'?
The Truro Rock Choir is led by local vocal tutor Marcus Alleyne. Rock Choir is unequalled in the opportunities we can offer our members - from performing at top music and arts venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Eurodisney to raising money for some of the UKs best-loved charities such as Refuge, British Airways Flying Start and the Edinburgh and London Moonwalks. Appearing on national television and singing with celebrities like Natasha Bedingfield has been exciting and exhilarating, but Rock Choir members still know the importance of supporting our local community causes and events!
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Truro Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I can only echo what people have said about Rock Choir. It's had such an impact on mine and other's lives. A fantastic outlet for singing feel-good songs, the ones we all enjoy to listen to - and the opportunity to be part of a group producing an amazing sound. I've made so many friends and had many fantastic experiences during my last 5 years with Rock Choir and look forward to many more!' - Emma (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
