If you have ever thought 'I want to join a choir near me in Shaftesbury?' then why not join your local Rock Choir.
The Shaftesbury Rock Choir is led by choir leader Andrew Hollick. We support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around Dorset and as a choir we also sing together with other Rock Choir singers in the nearby choirs to support national charities such as Missing People and both Comic and Sport Relief with flash mobs, fundraising events and concerts.
We sing in Shaftesbury every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not find out where you can see the choir performing next by visiting our choir gigs page at rockchoir.com. There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Shaftesbury community together through something as simple as group singing.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir has helped me through really bad times in my life. Singing together lifts my spirits and helps me forget all my worries. I have made really good friends and it has certainly raised my confidence!! A year ago would never have attempted a solo but now enjoy the challenge. Rock Choir is really good fun and I do love singing anyway.' - Pauline (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
