The Sevenoaks Rock Choir is led by Kent based musician and teacher Valerie Turnbull. We are the local community choir with the national reputation - join the Sevenoaks Rock Choir and experience the singing phenomenon that Will Smith described as 'Fantastic'. Whilst retaining our community spirit, we come together en masse for national and regional events, giving our members unrivalled performance opportunities and experiences beyond compare, ranging from singing on BBC Breakfast Christmas Special in 2011 to our local Kent music, food and fireworks festivals!
You've probably heard us singing in and around Kent, or seen one of our many TV appearances, and never thought you'd have to courage to get up on stage and sing! But the unique teaching methods at the Sevenoaks Rock Choir, along with no need to audition or read music, mean that we are accessible to all. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
