Re-Enchant: January

1st half - we'll hear from participants in our open mic slots

2nd half The Marsh-by Anna Robinson

The Marsh is a play set in 1890 in a slum courtyard off Lower Marsh Market in Waterloo. It explores two days in the lives of three women who live in the courtyard and work in the market. Mari and Lizzie sell flowers and Dirty Gertie sells rags. Mari has been troubled by visions of a future she doesn't quite understand but fears it has little place for her in it.

Anna Robinson is a working-class poet who lives in Waterloo. She has three poetry collections: The Finders of London and Into the Woods from Enitharmon Press and Whatsname Street from Smokestack. This is her first full length play.

Curated and introduced by Nick Moss in collaboration with The Cockpit

The world changes: we make new poetry to vandalise literary forms or retrieve those we need to renew. We make new poetry to hybridise new species of understanding and reframe consciousness.

We make new poetry to have a good time.

Readings, recitations, incantations and events from established and upstart poets, word artists, ranters, spell-casters, rappers......and you if you want.
