Trailblazers January Walk & Tidy – Saturday 17 January, 10–12
We’re starting the year with a lively two-mile walk across Coity Walia common land, mixing light litter-picking with a bit of footpath clearance as we go. One of our aims this month is to reopen the long-lost views across Pencoed from the top of Cefn Hirgoed, where overgrowth has slowly closed things in.

The route is mostly off-road with short stretches of quiet pavement. There’s a stepped slope at the start, but we’ll take it at an easy pace and enjoy the breather at the top.
