Yorkshire Games Festival 2026

Yorkshire Games Festival returns to the National Science and Media Museum this February, celebrating its tenth year! Join us on 11-22 February, for an extravaganza of games culture, design, and production as the museum celebrates all things gaming across two weeks of exciting activity including a packed half term of gaming fun for all ages. From developer talks to networking events, to free gameplay and workshops, there is so much for everyone to enjoy.

The festival includes industry and careers focused Game Talks on 11–12 February (tickets £25/£20). Followed by the half-term Festival programme including:

Big Screen Gaming – Play Nintendo classics like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros on a full-sized cinema screen with up to 4 players.

WiFi Wars (19 February only) – Join comedian Steve McNeil's hilarious gaming game show where everyone plays along using their own device.

YGF Showcase – Try brand new games from developers at all levels and meet the creators behind them. Offering visitors the experience the next generation of gaming talent.

Pictureville Cinema will also screen films related to the festival over half term, including Kids‘ Club screenings of The Lego Batman Movie (2017) and Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019) at the reduced ticket price of £3.
