The theme for 2026 is Hiraeth, an emotional word that describes a longing for home, a place or a feeling. It can be a homesickness for your past, a nostalgia for people long gone or an emotion you used to feel and also a yearning for imaginary places. Hiraeth is a special word and everyone will put their own meaning to it.
There is a plethora of scope here be it landscapes, still life or portraiture that brings about that feeling of Hiraeth for you. Perhaps vessel forms like a favourite mug to hug, family images, photographs or cherished collections. Lots to get your imagination going.
Application forms are available from the gallery and website with all the submission criterior.
