If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes!
The Portadown Rock Choir is led by singer/pianist Beth McNally. The local men and women who have joined the choir who live in Portadown and further afield in Armagh come from all walks of life and most had no singing experience or ever thought their singing journey would ever take them on TV or radio (not compulsory :-) ). Once you join the choir you will find you learn the songs by rote from a brilliant set of resources and you will be amazed how quickly you go from 'not sure' to 'performance ready'. The songs are uniquely arranged in a way that helped Rock Choir originally establish the simple high/middle and optional low voice approach to make songs easy to sing yet still challenge you in places.
Just like a gym class or amateur dramatic society, your membership of the choir provides an escape from everyday life. For over an hour, once a week, your time is completely your own, to do nothing but sing your heart out with friends whilst enjoying our trailblazing formula of fun, friendship and feel-good music.
