Cerne Abbas Open Gardens

Cerne Abbas is well known for its giant, Abbey site and as one of the prettiest villages in Dorset.
25 gardens will be open around the village covering a whole range of sizes and styles. Gardeners will be available to answer your questions and share their love of their gardens. Some gardens are wheelchair accessible and most welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. All the gardens are within easy walking distance of a car park. St Mary's church will be especially decorated with flowers.
We are celebrating our 50th opening and the proceeds will be divided between The National Trust Giant Hill Appeal and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance 2nd helicopter appeal.

Open Gardens has been featured on television, most recently Channel 5’s Dorset Country & Coast, episode 6.

A plant stall operates in the village square from 1pm. Refreshments, including home-made cakes, are served in the vicarage garden.
