Coming up in March, New Era are delighted to invite you to our production of this powerful and dramatic play by the acclaimed American playwright, Arthur Miller. Perhaps best known for ‘Death of a Salesman’ and ‘The Crucible’, Miller once again delves into the dynamics of families and relationships, creating a play which resonates with its audience.
‘The Price’ is set in the attic of a brownstone building in New York, which is due for demolition. Here, two estranged brothers, whose lives have dramatically diverged, meet for the first time in sixteen years to dispose of the furniture of their parents, passed away some years previously. The meeting unveils family secrets and unresolved history, throwing a different light on the past and future. Meanwhile, a somewhat decrepit furniture dealer, one of Miller’s funniest characters, tries to agree a price with the brothers.
A play that is as amusing as it is dramatic, we look forward to enjoying it with you. Come and join us on 12th-14th and 17th-21st March 2026 at New Era Theatre, Andover Road, Wash Common, Newbury RG14 6NU. Tickets are £15 each and available online from ticketsource.co.uk/new-era-players. All other enquiries to boxoffice@neweraplayers.org or phone 07919 916009.
