Duxford Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Seven gardens of different sizes and character. The exuberant planting at 3 St Peter's St more than makes up for the small size of the garden. 31 St Peters St, on a steep slope, is filled with surprises, and a dry rockery. Bustlers Cottage has a cottage garden inc vegetables, many trees and places to sit. Stop here for a home-made cream tea and buy some plants. The gardener at 16 Ickleton Rd is a plantaholic, unable to refuse room to an unusual plant, and has a fascinating garden as a result. At 3 St John's St, the large pond dominates a colourful garden planted with wildlife in mind, and further up the road the garden at the Rectory has a grass maze mown into the lawn.
