Aldersbrook & Lakehouse Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Five town gardens are situated in the Aldersbrook and Lakehouse Estates between Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats. 19 Belgrave Road is a diverse garden, eclectic and bursting at the seams with trees and plants. Gill, a ceramicist, uses the plants in her garden studio. 152 Belgrave Road a new no waste large family garden utilising all the waste from the house renovation to create an environmentally conscious drought tolerant garden. 39 Dover Road retains its original Edwardian layout, with mature trees inc a female Ginkgo biloba. 16 Wanstead Park Avenue is a cottage garden with mixed planting, a micro meadow, a tiny pond, and grey water irrigation.
