Forest Hill Garden Group - Open Garden for NGS
Walk up from the station or bus stops, perhaps through the award-winning Horniman Gardens and discover three very different gardens. A charming garden filled with fruit trees lower down will take you back to a time when this area was rich in orchards. See the sculptures in an artists walled courtyard garden around a C18 coach house, where pots of all sizes are planted for year-round interest. Then, sample savouries and cakes with your tea on the lawn of a country style garden designed for children as well as gardeners, featuring a large chicken run, raised vegetable beds, a greenhouse, fruit cage, and meadow.
