The Down House - Open Garden for NGS
A 2 acre garden laid out in rooms overlooking the Itchen Valley, adjoining the Pilgrim's Way. In winter come and see garden structure, snowdrops, aconites and crocus, plus borders of dogwoods, willow stems and white birches. In summer, a terrace of agapanthus and succulents, pleached hornbeams, rope-lined fountain garden, formal box-edged potager, a new wildlife pond and sustainable garden, yew-lined avenue and walks in adjoining meadows.
