Introduction to Mosses Identification

Discover the often-overlooked world of mosses and liverworts (bryophytes) on this specialist identification course at Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Studies Centre, set in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, near Betws-y-Coed.

This hands-on course introduces participants to the skills needed to recognise and identify common bryophyte species found in North Wales’ woodlands, riversides and upland habitats. With expert Field Studies Council tuition, you’ll learn to observe key features both in the field and indoors, using microscopes and identification resources.
