St Valentine’s Virtual Balloon Race
Please join in the online race this Valentine's and buy balloons for yourself, for a friend or loved one, or in memory of someone special, as this will help feed Celia Hammond Animal Trust (CHAT) rescue cats. There are prizes to win too!
It's CHAT's 40th anniversary year and we are currently caring for around 750 rescue cats across our London and East Sussex centres. Over the duration of the 7-day St Valentine's Virtual Balloon Race it will cost approximately £15,000 to feed the animals in our care, and we rely entirely on public donations.
The St Valentine's Virtual Balloon Race takes place entirely online and, with no real balloons involved, the event is both wildlife friendly and non-gambling. There are prizes to win too. The overall winner will receive £100 cash, and the runner-up an Amazon Echo Dot (4th Generation). There's also a box of CHAT goodies for the furthest-travelling CHAT balloon.
Share the love for rescue cats this Valentine's by purchasing virtual race balloons, which are just £3 each. You can buy as many balloons as you like, to boost your chances of winning and support our work, and you can gift activation codes to friends and family.
All balloons, which can be individually customised, will be 'launched' virtually from the Eiffel Tower in Paris at 12 noon on Saturday 14 February 2026, and you will be able to track your balloons online throughout the race to see how they are getting on.
