Glastonbury Cantilena Choir celebrates The Glory of Venice

Glastonbury Cantilena Choir warmly invites you and your family to The Glory of Venice, a joyful concert celebrating the sun-drenched music of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque. Join us for an uplifting evening as we bring the spirit of Venice to life through soaring harmonies and golden melodies!

Our programme is a greatest hits of Venetian mastery, chosen for its warmth, energy, and beauty:

* Antonio Caldara: Be swept away by the rich, lush textures of his Stabat Mater—a true embrace in musical form.

* Claudio Monteverdi: Experience the dancing rhythms of Beatus Vir and the shimmering, heartfelt devotion of Christe, adoramus te.

* Giovanni Croce: Delight in the peaceful, welcoming sweetness of O Sacrum Convivium.

* Andrea Gabrieli: Experience the pure, balanced elegance of his Missa Brevis. As the founding father of the Venetian style, Andrea’s music provides the perfect, serene heartbeat for our evening.

Come for the history or simply to soak in the joyful atmosphere with us and celebrate the timeless magic of Venice in the season of Easter!
