Biofluorescence Experience in Nature at RSPB Arne - Feb 27th

Biofluorescence is one of nature’s hidden wonders! Encounter an invisible natural world on an exclusive night-time adventure and experience nature in a whole new light.  We’ll explore and discover a different perspective on nature as creatures, plants and fungi glow in the dark – revealing colours not visible during daylight!

This is a new and emerging conservation technique; join us as we make new discoveries together. This nocturnal tour is not to be missed!

After sunset you will head off to explore an unseen natural world. Nature is never predictable, but highlights could include the wonderful fungi we have at the reserve. The route will be approximately one and a half hours through woodland and meadows with lots of stopping points.

This event will use UV torch light to view nature at night.  If you have a high sensitivity to light, please take this into account when deciding to book this event.  Please inform staff upon booking.  Safety glasses will be available and must be used during the event. UV torches will be issued to adults only.

Booking essential please. For further details and to book please visit our website.

Please wear long clothing, good sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs. Please bring a small normal torch with you if you have one.

Disclaimer: If the weather is overcast, windy or wet the event will STILL GO AHEAD as planned, ticket holders will still be able to enjoy a guided safe night-time walk at Arne.
