Block Printing

About the Workshop

Learn how to design, carve and print accurate tessellating pattern repeats to create a multitude of intricate patterns and designs using easy carve lino.

During the day you will have create a number of stamps and print multiple designs onto paper and card. You will learn how to develop your work using masks and stencils and the tutor will demonstrate how you can use this technique to print onto fabric.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners through to those with some experience who would like to brush up on their skills. All materials will be provided, but do feel free to bring your own ink pads and lino cut tools if you have them.

About the Tutor

Jane is an experienced printmaker, mosaic artist and tutor. With a background in printed textiles and surface design she has a particular interest in the social and wellbeing benefits of art, craft, and creativity.
