Sustainable Cities Festival

Sustainable Cities Festival returns to east London with a bold call to action

Looking for a green job, funding for your start-up or practical ways to improve your neighbourhood?

From 4-6 March 2026, the Sustainable Cities Festival returns to the Royal Docks with three free days of hands-on workshops, a green jobs fair, live start-up pitches and community-led sessions focused on turning climate ambition into real-world action.

Meet employers, connect with innovators, explore funding routes and discover how regeneration can deliver lasting local benefit. Whether you’re building a business, developing new skills or shaping your area’s future, this is your chance to get involved.

Day one explores skills and inclusive growth, with a green jobs fair, short talks on emerging careers and discussions on unlocking social value through regeneration. Day two spotlights start-ups and innovation, offering workshops on funding and cutting emissions, plus a live pitch session connecting founders with collaborators. The final day centres on neighbourhood life, with community-led workshops on repair and reuse, local enterprise and guided tours of regeneration projects across the Royal Docks.

The festival is being hosted at the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability, University of East London Docklands Campus, University Way, London E16 2RD from 4 to 6 March from 10am to 5pm.

Free to attend, the festival is open to anyone interested in building fairer, greener cities from the ground up.
