Whitstable care home invites veterans to a special breakfast club
A care home in Whitstable is inviting members of the community who have served, or are serving, in the Armed Forces to a special breakfast.
On Tuesday 14th April, from 8am–10am, and every second Tuesday of each month, Care UK’s Harrier Lodge on Thanet Way, will be hosting a veterans breakfast club, giving residents and Whitstable locals a chance to meet and mingle with people who have served in the Armed Forces.
On the day, guests will be welcomed into the home where they will have the opportunity to chat with residents, sharing their stories and memories of their younger days, all while enjoying a tasty breakfast specially made by the home’s talented head chef.
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Reservations can be made by contacting the Customer Relations Manager, Kyran Chalmers by Friday 10th April.
Susan Simmonds, Home Manager at Harrier Lodge, said: “We’re honored to be hosting the veterans breakfast club here at Harrier Lodge.
“We want to make sure members of the Armed Forces in our community feel valued. This is a wonderful way for us to show our gratitude to those who have served the country, including residents here at the home. We’re pleased to be able to provide everyone with the opportunity to share stories and connect with each other – especially for those who may not have anyone to talk to.
“We can’t wait to see everyone come together to enjoy a delicious breakfast, make new friends and pay our respects to those who have served!”
