A care home in Heanor is opening its doors to local families for an afternoon of entertainment and homemade treats.
On Saturday 28th March, from 10am-6pm, Care UK’s Samuel House, on Porterwood Drive, will host a free Easter Family Fun Day.
Children will be able to take part in an array of Easter-themed activities, including an egg hunt, a biscuit decorating workshop, and a bonnet making craft session.
Visitors can also sample a range of homemade refreshments and cakes freshly prepared by the home’s talented chef.
Throughout the day, there will be the opportunity to meet the team and tour the home’s facilities, including its cinema, café and shop.
Lisa Tungate, Home Manager at Samuel House, said: “Easter is a time where families come together, so we’re excited to open our doors to the community for some seasonal fun.
“We have a very exciting programme of activities planned to give everyone a chance to spend time together and create new memories, all while enjoying some delicious chocolate treats.
“Events like this are a lovely way to bring people together and give visitors a chance to see what life is like here at Samuel House by meeting the team and spending time with residents while enjoying a few fun activities.”
Samuel House is a modern care home providing full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
