A care home in East Grinstead is inviting members of the community who have served, or are serving, in the Armed Forces to a special roast lunch.
On Wednesday 1st April, from 12.30pm-2pm, and every first Wednesday of each month, Care UK’s Mill View on Sunnyside Close, will be hosting its monthly veterans roast lunch event giving residents and East Grinstead locals a chance to meet and mingle with other veterans.
On the day, guests will be welcomed into the home and will have the opportunity to chat with residents, sharing their stories and memories of their younger days, while enjoying a tasty roast specially prepared by the home’s talented chefs.
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Reservations can be made by contacting the Customer Relations Manager, Beverly Jordan by 28th of the month.
Trish Banks, Home Manager at Mill View, said: “We’re honored to be hosting the veterans roast lunch here at Mill View.
“We want to make sure members of the Armed Forces in our community feel valued. This is a wonderful way for us to show our gratitude to those who have served the country, including residents here at the home. We’re pleased to be able to provide everyone with the opportunity to share stories and connect with each other – especially for those who may not have anyone to talk to.
“We can’t wait to see everyone come together to enjoy a delicious roast lunch, make new friends and pay our respects to those who have served!”
