This Heritage event provides visitors the chance to see behind the scenes; discovering places where the general public would not normally go. It's a chance to see what it's like to stand on a stage; how the high tech sound and lighting equipment is used to enhance performances and understand the huge amount of work and fun that goes into putting on shows and running a vibrant theatre. The Halifax Playhouse, is a Grade II listed building, owned and volunteer run by the Halifax Thespians and venue for a wide variety of performances from local amateur musical societies, a wide range of professional bands and shows as well as the Thespians own plays.
