Ashford care home to host community quiz night
A care home in Ashford is inviting local people to prove their trivia talents as it prepares to host a lively community quiz night in support of the Royal British Legion (RBL).
Care UK’s Montfort Manor, on Kennington Road, will be welcoming the public on Friday 24th April from 6.30pm for an evening of friendly competition and brainteasers.
Local people are invited to the fun event which will be hosted in the home’s garden, with refreshments including afternoon tea. Tickets to attend the event and take part in the quiz are £10 – with all proceeds being donated to the RBL.
Members of the RBL will be attending, along with Montfort Manor’s residents and families.
There will be a prize up for grabs for the winning team including a hamper, so we’d encourage those attending to brush up on their favourite facts and general knowledge!
Joanne Eaton, Home Manager at Montfort Manor, said: “We are excited to welcome the local community and members of the Royal British Legion to our quiz night! Everyone had such a great time last year soaking up the sunshine and raising funds for a cause close to our hearts, so we couldn’t resist bringing it back.
“Here at Montfort Manor, we’re always looking for new and exciting events to bring residents and the community together, as it helps provide a stronger sense of wellbeing and purpose, and the residents can lead more fulfilling lives. What better way to do this than to raise funds for charity while firing up some friendly competition!”
Montfort Manor is a purpose-built care home that has been designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short-term respite care, and incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities including its own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub.
