Deal Festival

The 2026 Deal Festival brings a dynamic 10 days of the highest quality arts and music to Deal. We champion extraordinary young musicians through to established professionals at the top of their game. A highlight of 2026 will be the cello and piano duo Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason, two of the best-known musicians in the classical music world whose concert is already sold out!

We continue to celebrate a wide range of genres and art forms. This year we build on the success of folk duo Spiers & Boden with the fabulously named Gigspanner Big Band which includes John Spiers. Wild Arts opera returns to present Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro in Sandwich and at the Astor Theatre you can take in Miles in the Sky with renowned jazz bassist Gary Crosby’s quintet.

Respected broadcaster and Deal resident Gavin Esler will be presenting a series of conversations with well-known politicians – Neil Kinnock, Penny Mordaunt and Jeremy Hunt. The festival spills out onto the streets on the opening Saturday with a Town Takeover and on Sunday we take up residence at the Captain’s Garden, both events providing a celebration of artists from the community, from local musicians through to a bespoke art trail with South East Artists.
