Extended Upstairs, Downstairs Tour of Stansted House
Join us for an extended tour of Stansted House, offering you the opportunity to visit two spaces that are not usually open to the public.
During this two hour upstairs, downstairs tour, you will explore the stunning State Rooms and discover the family seat of the Earls of Bessborough before walking up the main staircase, normally closed to visitors, to see the beautiful Bessborough Suite.
You will then move downstairs to discover the fully furnished Servants Quarters, described by one visitor as 'one of the best I have seen in England.'
As you learn about the individuals who once lived and worked on the estate, you will have the chance to visit the undercrofts, which survived the devasting fire of 1900.
