A care home in East Grinstead is opening its doors and inviting members of the community to celebrate National Gardening Week in its beautiful garden.
On Saturday 25th April, from 11am-3pm, Care UK’s Mill View on Sunnyside Close will be hosting its open garden event giving green-fingered residents and East Grinstead locals a chance to keep active and socialise.
On the day, guests will be welcomed into the home's garden to take part in a range of activities including planting bulbs and painting plant pots.
Walk-ins are encouraged, or reservations can be made by contacting the Customer Relations Manager, Beverly Jordan by 20th of April.
Trish Banks, Home Manager at Mill View, said: “We’re so excited to be welcoming the local community to our gardens here at Mill View. Spring has certainly sprung and residents have been enjoying sprucing up the garden and ensuring it’s ready for our open event.
“We understand the positive benefits that being out in nature can have on mental wellbeing, as well as encouraging physical activity. The residents are looking forward to spending the day in the garden while getting to know new people and spending time with friends of the home.
“We can’t wait to see everyone come together to make new friends and create wonderful memories!”
